Warehouses
The complete guide to tracking deliveries as they check in, check out, and transfer between your warehouses.
Updated
LionWheel’s warehouse system lets you manage delivery movement between your warehouses efficiently. You can track the status of deliveries at each warehouse and manage the process of loading and distributing deliveries.
Warehouses are meant mainly for delivery companies that collect packages from their customers, bring them to a warehouse, and deliver them from there to the end recipients (overnight deliveries).
First, set up your warehouse(s) through the Warehouses page in the menu, by clicking New Warehouse.
Checkin to a Warehouse
Clicking Checkin shows all the deliveries currently at the warehouse. You can check deliveries in using a digital scanner connected to the computer, or by manually entering the delivery number (the Checkin button at the top of the page).
Checkout from a Warehouse
Clicking Checkout, select the driver/courier company/warehouse you want to assign the checkout to for the deliveries. You’ll then move to the checkout screen, where you can choose which deliveries to check out by clicking Checkout on the delivery’s row (or Checkout All), or scan them with a digital scanner.
Note: When using the warehouse add-on, when drivers arrive at the warehouse to load deliveries, scan them in “Checkout” scan mode rather than “Pickup”, so the delivery is checked out of the warehouse in the system.
Transfer Between Warehouses
When a delivery is checked in at one warehouse, and at checkout you assign it to another warehouse, the delivery’s status changes to In Transfer (marking that it’s currently in transit between warehouses). When the delivery arrives at the second branch, check it in to that warehouse.
