Welcome to LionWheel 🦁 Local Delivery Route Planner! 🎉&nbsp;This is a 5 mins guide that will help you to get up and running your local deliveriesWhat will you learn in this tutorial:<ul><li>Integrate your store orders to Deliveries on LionWheel</li><li>Planning Routes</li><li>The Driver App</li><li>Customer Notifications</li></ul>Let's start!&nbsp;<h4>How to integrate your store orders into Deliveries on LionWheel?</h4>After the installation of the app, the 20 deliveries will auto be auto-created based on your 20 orders. From now on - every new order on your store will create a new delivery on LionWheel. Please note that LionWheel ingrates with most of the delivery date apps, so the delivery will be on the right date. You can also see all your orders and their associated deliveries: <a href="https://members.lionwheel.com/shopify/orders">https://members.lionwheel.com/shopify/orders</a> There is also an option to pause the auto-sync, and you can control manually what exactly should be synced:<figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com//4288c547-fc82-4cea-ab14-ac2798f10f2a"></figure><h4>&nbsp;</h4><h4>How to plan routes for drivers?</h4>You can manage all your deliveries from the <a href="https://members.lionwheel.com/operator/store_visits">deliveries page</a>, this page is divided into a list of the deliveries on the left and a resizable map to the right. on this page, you check select deliveries by either checking the checkboxes or drawing an area (polygon) on the map.<img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com//6f8d60f2-595f-4fb5-9f97-bc31abb2bd44"> After assigning a driver to the deliveries, you'll be able to plan his route from the <a href="https://members.lionwheel.com/drivers">drivers page</a><figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com//10aa4004-2d68-48d7-ad92-41f6762df0fa"></figure>The driver route page is again divided into 2 sections: the list to the left and a resizable map to the right.In order to plan a route, you can adjust the start time, where the driver starts from, where should be the finish point and how long each stop is. Then just click on the "Optimize" button - and let the magic happen.<figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com//6990bb85-2b9d-4f5c-9f63-328c8cc88433"></figure>After the optimization, each stop will have an ETA, and you'll be able to easily print a packing slip, share ETAs and time windows with customers, and of course, invite the driver to download the driver app to start delivering 🚚<h4>The Driver App</h4>We support a native driver app for both <a href="https://apps.apple.com/il/app/lionwheel-driver/id1556414008">iPhones</a> and <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.LionWheel.drivers">Android</a> phones. With the app, the driver can easily follow the route, update the delivery status and provide proof of delivery with a signature or a photo.It's so easy to invite a driver to use the app! Just click on the "Invite Driver" button below, and let the driver scan the QR code to download the app. Once the app has been downloaded, the driver can log in with his username and password:<figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com//7ac6ea01-60b0-4bb7-b1e5-e60601901a35"></figure>Once the driver logs in, he can easily follow the route stop by stop. His progress will be reflected in real-time back to the admin app so it will be easy for you to make sure all your drivers are on track.<img class="image_resized" style="width:31.57%;" src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com//c5965aef-6622-4c24-8c63-d7cbefa7577d"> <img class="image_resized" style="width:31.64%;" src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com//cb1e3e26-e283-4906-8c93-1abb224e4a71"><h4>Customer Notifications</h4>You can easily set up and personalize SMS notifications to your customers. Just go to the <a href="https://members.lionwheel.com/communication/settings">SMS notifications</a> page and select from a variety of triggers and automations that include - sending time smart time windows to the route, next in route message, delivery completion, proof of delivery, and many many more.<hr>Do you have any additional questions? <h3>Dynamic Variables</h3><figure class="image image_resized image-style-side" style="width:37.72%;"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/dcab9a43-bfa5-4fb7-a9c5-90257d0ca03a" alt=""></figure>Use dynamic variables to enhance your messages with specific information such as the delivery customer's name, address, driver's phone number, links, and more. To use these variables, copy and paste the variables exactly as they appear in the list into your desired message body. For example: "Hi customer_name, delivery number task_id is on it's way to you.", the system will generate the message "Hi John Smith, delivery number 1234 is on it's way to you."&nbsp;<hr><h3>Settings&nbsp;</h3>Under the Settings tab, you can manage the automatic messages that are sent based on various triggers (listed on the left).<ul><li>"Sender Name" - The name should be up to 10 characters long and in English only (Too change the name contact us at <a href="mailto:support@lionewheel.com">support@lionewheel.com</a>.&nbsp;</li><li>You can set time window for sending messages to avoid disturbing customers during nighttime, etc.</li></ul><figure class="image image_resized" style="width:77.47%;"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/8f9461c7-ab36-4a0d-bb18-a4f45a49b156"></figure><hr><h3>Rotes Notifications</h3>Sending automatic messages to points on a route is done from the route planning page (<a href="https://support.lionwheel.com/en/article/plan-drivers-routes">view guide</a>). To send SMS messages for a route, first compose the message template and activate it.&nbsp; * The template is fixed and will be used for the entire route, but can be changed at any time.Sending a general message to all points on the route: You can compose a general message and send it to all stops on the route through the route planning page.&nbsp; For example: if deliveries are delayed.Sending ETA windows to all points on the route:<figure class="image image_resized image-style-side" style="width:44.07%;"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/689d3448-c5e8-474c-b823-5e106e069934"></figure>To calculate the arrival time window, define the time range for the window and ensure that the desired route has been successfully planned (when all stops have values in the "ETA" field).&nbsp; For example: If the system calculated that the ETA for a point is 12:00, and we want the customer to receive a message that the delivery will arrive between 11:00 and 14:00, we'll set the maximum advance time to 1:00 (hour) and the maximum delay time to 2:00 (two hours).&nbsp; * The time window will be automatically added to the message body.Sending automatic messages to the next point in route:Messages will be sent to the next X stops in line according to the number you define in the template.<figure class="image image_resized image-style-side" style="width:46.36%;"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/119a7015-844c-41b5-9ce7-d8ff1e82d4da"></figure>For example: If we choose 1, then as soon as the first delivery is completed, the second on the route will receive a message that the driver is on the way (most popular message). If we choose 2, then when the first is completed, the third will receive the message, and so on.&nbsp; * Note! There is no trigger that activates sending the message to the first point on the route, so it's required to send the message manually from the route planning screen to activate the automation.&nbsp; * This type of message can be turned off for a specific driver under the driver profile.<ul><li>There are many other types of SMS messages with built-in explanations in the system. Note that some messages need to be activated at the company level under their company profile.</li></ul><hr><h3>Templates</h3>Under the Templates tab, you can define new SMS templates and set their permissions (Admin/Driver). The driver will have the option in the App to send a message to the customer from the template repository, without the ability to compose the message content.<figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/2adb5ffc-7410-407f-961a-ec1a0330cae4"></figure><hr><h3>Block List</h3>You can save phone numbers in the blocklist to ensure that SMS messages from the system will never be sent to customers on this list.<figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/aa751632-147f-4959-855e-3ff9e25b7b17"></figure><hr>Do you have any additional questions? After defining the Zones, any delivery created in the system will be automatically assigned to a zone if the system identifies that the coordinates fall within the area's boundaries.&nbsp; * Please note! The assignment to the zone is automatically updated according to the delivery's coordinates. If the address details are edited so that it falls within another zone, it's value will change accordingly.<h3>Zones Settings</h3>Distribution zones are composed of area(s). To add a new area, click on the drawing button on the map and mark the boundaries of the area (Note! To finish the drawing, you must mark the last point on top of another point).&nbsp; By clicking the edit button, we can modify the area boundaries.<h3>Assigning Drivers/Curriers to Zones</h3>In order to assign automatically to drivers and/or curriers, we'll define a default driver for the zone (of course, assignments can be changed after automation). We can also set the driver's salary for the area (editable, relevant for the "Driver Salary" function - for more details, please contact us at <a href="mailto:support@lionwheel.com">support@lionwheel.com</a>).&nbsp; * For those who have multiple tasks per delivery, there's an option to choose a default driver for each task type: pickup/delivery/return.<figure class="media"><div data-oembed-url="https://www.loom.com/share/360c3765375e46da8b0acd39a76d2cc7?sid=35b41562-e3c8-4ded-b1c3-6bbb8ff246ba"><div style="position: relative; padding-bottom: 56.25%; height: 0;"><iframe src="https://www.loom.com/embed/360c3765375e46da8b0acd39a76d2cc7?sid=35b41562-e3c8-4ded-b1c3-6bbb8ff246ba" frameborder="0" webkitallowfullscreen="" mozallowfullscreen="" allowfullscreen="" style="position: absolute; top: 0; left: 0; width: 100%; height: 100%;"></iframe></div></div></figure><hr>Do you have any additional questions? Before planning the route, ensure all desired deliveries are assigned to the relevant drivers and dates through the deliveries screen!To access route planning, open the Drivers Routes page =&gt; select a driver and click on the driver's name, then choose the desired date where the deliveries you want to plan are located.<hr><h3>Define Route's Parameters&nbsp;</h3>Set default values for the route's parameters through Settings =&gt; Routing.<figure class="image image_resized" style="width:76.15%;"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/e0e5db18-ded9-4a2a-a54b-f39d99fcb099"></figure>Start and End points The system will display all saved locations and all addresses of the delivery points in the specific route. If the desired address doesn't appear, you can add it through Settings =&gt; Locations.Start time and Service time (For unloading, for example) To set a different service time to a delivery, enter the delivery edit mode and define the desired time in minutes.Optimize Route After defining all the above parameters, click on "Optimize Route" button, and the system will display the most optimal route. You can also view the route on the map on the right side.Once the optimization is successfully completed, an "ETA" (Estimated Arrival Time) will be added to all deliveries in the table.<hr><h3>Manual Route Planning</h3>For manually adjustment of the route, you can drag the deliveries up and down the list (next to the delivery ID, there's a 6-dot icon – long press and drag). When finished, click on "Save Route" and not on "Re-Optimize Route".To prioritize certain deliveries, select the delivery/ies you want to prioritize, then click on More in the bottom bar and choose VIP (relevant only for those without a pickup task).<hr><h3>Deliveries Table</h3>In the table, we will see the status of all deliveries in the route.Note! Deliveries listed under the "Not in Route" tab are not included in the route because you have not yet clicked "Optimize Route" or "Save Route". Additionally, you can choose which columns to display in the table (the column order cannot be changed on this page).<figure class="image image_resized" style="width:61.97%;"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/e6bb7c42-8299-40b0-9685-1134756a2a9a"></figure>Addresses marked in red - the address is certainly incorrect and needs to be fixed, otherwise it won't be possible to plan the route.Addresses marked in yellow - addresses that the system couldn't identify precisely, and likely contain an error. In this case - it's recommended to enter the delivery and check the validity of the address, see how it's displayed on the map and understand if it needs to be corrected.<hr><h3>Map</h3>After the route is successfully optimized, all the points in the route will be numbered on the map. Additionally, the driver's location will be marked with a green dot on the map; clicking on it will display the time when his location was last updated.Markers on the map with an asterisk (*) next to the point number indicate multiple points. Clicking on the marker will show all the deliveries associated with that stop.<hr><h3>More Options</h3><figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/64619fd6-061b-4288-ab9e-bfa5a974df26"></figure>Print:&nbsp; Easily print labels/ waybills for all points, and the driver's route plan table. &nbsp;SMS: If you have purchased the SMS package, you will be able to send the SMS for the route from the driver route plan (<a href="https://support.lionwheel.com/en/article/sms">view guide).</a>More: By clicking this button, you can view the activity log of the route planning, send push notifications to the driver, transfer the entire route to another driver, and display the picking list for the route (for more information about the "Picking" feature contact us at <a href="mailto:suport@lionwheel.com">suport@lionwheel.com</a>).Save Route: Use this button when planning the route manually.Fixed Routes: Click this button to save the current route as a pattern for future use.Connect: Use this button to connect to the driver's app using the QR scanner.<hr>Important Instructions for planning a driver's route<ul><li>When entering a city without a specific address, the system will place the delivery marker at a random point within the city's municipal boundaries.</li><li>When using a saved location as the route's start or end point, it's crucial to ensure that the location has a complete address, including city, street, and number. Incomplete address details will prevent the system from generating a route. To verify or update saved locations, use Settings =&gt; Locations.&nbsp;</li><li>Remember, accurate and complete address information is essential for proper route planning and overall system functionality.</li></ul><hr>Do you have any additional questions?
